Jolly Boys Service Scholarship: The Jolly Boys are looking for community involvement, personal goals, evidence of an enterprising spirit, academic achievement, and financial need is among the criteria we look at in selecting winners. All college-bound high school seniors who reside within the Town of Amherst or Village of Williamsville are eligible to apply. Scholarship is $2000. Applications available in Student Services! Applications are due Saturday March 2, 2024.
William E. Kramp Scholarship- Applicant for this $1500 scholarship must be related to a Veteran, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be involved in community service. There are 10 awards available!
Buffalo Urban League Scholarship- Each year, the Buffalo Urban League awards scholarships to graduating high school students and recent HSE/GED recipients in our community to help them further their education and achieve their career goals. Recipients are determined by academic achievement, community service, character, and financial need. To be eligible for the Buffalo Urban League scholarship consideration, you must be a High School Senior or recent HSE/GED recipient (within the current academic year), who plans to attend college or a vocational school in the fall of 2024. Deadline is Febuary 23, 2024. An application can be found here.
Abbott and Fenner Scholarship is available to all high school seniors. To apply for this $1000 scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic outlined on their website. The essay should be between 500 and 1000 words. Applications are available online at http://www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm. Applications must be submitted by June 7, 2024.
The Eighth District of the Federated Garden Club of NYS: The Eighth District of the Federated Garden Club of NYS will be sponsoring a $1000 scholarship to a student entering a program of study in one of the following major fields, Forestry, Horticulture, Conservation, Environmental Science, Land Management, Biology, or any related field. Apply online at www.gardenclubsofwny.com. Application must be postmarked between March 15 and March 31. Electronic submissions will not be considered.
Milak Memorial Scholarship was established in 1994 in honor of a very special young seventeen year old boy that lost his life to Leukemia. One senior will be awarded a scholarship worth between $1000-$1500. To be considered, an applicant must be a graduating senior, possess a realistic career goal, and be community minded. The applying student MUST also struggle with a hearing loss, learning disability or has/is battling cancer. Obtain application online at http://www.milakscholarship.org and postmark by Feb 1.
The Elks National Foundation awards $2.2 million in college scholarships to a total of 500 high school seniors nationwide through its Scholarship program. ELKS offer a multiple scholarships. Please go on website to check them out. The first deadline is February 5th, 2024. Applications are available online at https://www.elks.org/scholars/
Big Sun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Their participation may be in any capacity, whether as a player, coach or official. NEW YORK STATE STEM INCENTIVE PROGRAM provides full SUNY Tuition for students in the top 10% of the class and pursue an associates or bachelor degree program majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Must remain in NYS for 5 years upon graduation and working in above fields. Applications are online at HESC.ny.gov.
New York State Excelsior Scholarship The program covers tuition for eligible SUNY and CUNY students. The program will be phased in over three years, beginning in Fall 2017. It would first apply to families who earn $100,000 or less, then to those who earn $110,000 or less in 2018, and eventually reaching $125,000 or less in 2020. Jenkins Memorial Scholarship for Teacher Education: New York State PTA awards $3000 scholarships to students from the graduating class who exhibit the desire and potential to become outstanding classroom teachers. We ask thatyou inform your senior class of 2024 of the availability of the Jenkins Memorial Scholarship for Teacher Education. Deadline is December 15, 2023. Western New York Association of School Nurses Memorial Scholarship is a $500-$1000 award for a graduating high school senior accepted in an accredited BS school of nursing in NY State (**ECC, NCCC, and Trocaire are not BS programs**). Winners must be a resident of Erie or Niagara county. Applications may also be picked up in your school counselor's office. Application postmark deadline is May 1, 2023.

The American Association of University Women administers both interest-free loan and grant funds, providing additional financial support to college students in the Western New York area in the form of specialized loans, grants, or scholarships. These funds are obtained from proceeds from our Annual Book Sale and generous donors. The funds include several named awards. Applicants, women or men, must demonstrate superior academic achievement, have potential for achieving their academic and career goals, and, for some of the awards, show financial need. Certa Law Personal Injury & Wrongful Death Scholarship- A $1,000 Scholarship For Those Affected By Life-Changing Accidents. The Certa Law Personal Injury & Wrongful Death Scholarship is an award for any current or soon-to-be undergrad who have had their life altered due to a bodily injury from an automotive or pedestrian accident, be it their own injury, that of a loved one, or an influential individual. Sweet Home Federal Credit Union Scholarship Program is offering 3 scholarships with only one application. Students must be a credit union member in good standing. Sweet Home High School students are eligible to join the Sweet Home Federal Credit Union. Applications available online and must be submitted by January 7, 2023.
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship- The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities. DEADLINE: November 17
Reagan Scholarship Program- Honoring the legacy and character of our nation’s 40th President, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education. Each year, the Program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years – up to $40,000 total per recipient. Awards are for undergraduate study and may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. In addition, Scholars are invited to participate in a special awards program and receive ongoing leadership-development support. DEADLINE: January 2023
GE-R Scholarship for Children of Disabled Parents- The Scholarship for Children of Disabled Parents is giving 3 awards to New York State high school seniors that are children of disabled parents. Awards will be in the amounts of $45,000, $5,000 and $1,000 and will be renewable for up to 3 additional years. Qualified applicants must have a disabled family member and be entering college by Fall 2021. Deadline to submit your application is May 1, 2022. Click here for application link

Western New York Mensa Scholarship- Each year, through the Mensa Foundation, Western New York Mensa holds a scholarship essay contest. Students who are enrolled in a degree program at an accredited institution of higher education during the academic year following the application date are eligible. (The current school year's scholarship is for students who will be enrolled in the next academic year.) Enrollment can be undergraduate or graduate, full-time or part-time. One does not need to be a member of Mensa to apply. WNY Mensa usually awards a $500 scholarship. In addition to that, there are several regional and national scholarships available, ranging from $600 to $1000 each. Using the online system, the applicant submits only one essay to be considered for all eligible scholarships. DEADLINE: January 15, 2022.
Erie-Niagara Chapter of the NYS Society of Professional Engineers 2021 Scholarship- The Erie-Niagara Chapter of the NYS Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) offers Scholarships to deserving WNY high School Seniors who plan to attend and are accepted into an engineering program that is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET-EAC). 2020 NEW YORK STATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE (For information only. You need not apply) This program provides scholarship assistance to outstanding New York State high school graduates. Each year, 8,000 scholarships are awarded - up to 2,000 scholarships of $1,500 and 6,000 scholarships of $500 to top scholars from registered New York State high schools. Awards are based on student grades in certain Regents exams. Recipients can also receive other non-loan student aid, but the total cannot exceed the cost of attendance.
The Board of Trustees of the New York Schools Insurance Foundation and the Board of Governors of the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal are pleased to announce that they are once again offering Cristin Bambino, Paul Jensen and Joseph Goncalves scholarship awards for the coming year. These scholarships are for college-bound students from NYSIR-subscribing districts only. Criteria and applications are available at www.nysir.org. Application deadline is March 17, 2023.
